The SOM® 62 Ophthal Basic is the optimum basic microscope for ophthalmological examinations as well as for cataract surgery. It is perfectly suited for outpatient surgical centers, small clinics or laser centers.

The surgical microscope combines easy and exact positioning, excellent lighting with a bright, high-contrast red reflex as well as excellent optical image quality.

The apochromatic 5-step magnification changer (with an optional 1:6 manual zoom) provides a bright, brilliant image with high contrast.

The motorized fine focus (40 mm) is operated with a small foot switch. Thus both hands remain free for surgery.
